EuroArts is filming a new documentary about Pierre Boulez' LUCERNE FESTIVAL ACADEMY.
The LUCERNE FESTIVAL ACADEMY - Glimpses of Pierre Boulez’ Workshop for the Future of Music Every summer for the last four years, highly gifted young musicians from all over the world have come together for intensive rehearsal weeks at the LUCERNE FESTIVAL ACADEMY. The results are presented in a number of major concerts representing the culmination of what is probably the leading workshop anywhere for contemporary music.
The documentary "The LUCERNE FESTIVAL ACADEMY - Glimpses of Pierre Boulez’ Workshop for the Future of Music” adopts the perspective of the participating conductors, composers and musicians to get across what is so special about this summer academy, marked above all by the personality of its founder, Pierre Boulez.
