Verbier Festival 2013: Giuseppe Verdi: Messa da Requiem

Back to the Verbier Festival after his memorable rendition of Puccini’s Tosca in 2011, the Milanese conductor Gianandrea Noseda conducts Verdi’s sacred music masterpiece, the Requiem. Recorded in August 2013, this performance of Verdi’s Requiem gathers four high-flying soloists and the Choir of the Teatro Regio i Torino next to the Verbier Festival Orchestra. “Wonderful”, “excellent”, Gianandrea Noseda’s interpretation of this milestone of the Italian repertoire has been widely acclaimed by the audience for its strength and outstanding musicality.
