“Piano for Kids” with Joseph & Anthony Paratore is an entertaining introduction to classical music masterpieces. The most popular classical music works are recounted in a lively and exciting way. The series consists of 6 episodes in which popular works suitable for children are presented. Episode 1 discusses Pyotr Tchaikovsky's "The Nutcracker Suite", a piano arrangement of the concert version of the beloved ballet of the same name. Tchaikovsky only included parts of the entire ballet music in the suite. From the first act of the ballet, we find the overture and the march that opens the series of popular and characteristic dances, the most beloved probably the "Dance of the Sugar-Plum Fairy".
