Episode 2 discusses two of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart's Piano Sonatas: The Sonata in C major, K. 19d, is a work for piano four-hands in the traditional sonata form once thought to be composed by a nine-year-old Mozart in England in 1765. The second work is his Sonata for Two Pianos in D major, K. 448, one of his few compositions written for two pianos. Written in sonata-allegro form with interlocking melodies and simultaneous cadences, the sonata was composed for a performance Mozart would give with fellow pianist Josepha Auernhammer.
