The EUROPAKONZERT is the annual celebration of the founding day of the Berliner Philharmoniker on May 1st. The purpose of this unique series is to perform concerts at places which have a special cultural history and compel through their stunning architecture. The EUROPAKONZERT has lead the Berliner Philharmoniker all over Europe to some of the most beautiful sceneries. This remarkable concert, performed at the historical Spanish Hall at Prague Castle on 1st May 2013 features Sir Simon Rattle and Czech mezzo-soprano Magdalena Kožená performing Ralph Vaughan Williams’s Fantasia on a Theme by Thomas Tallis, Ludwig van Beethoven’s Symphony No. 6 Pastoral and Antonín Dvořák’s Biblical Songs. *not NTSC
