Joint Concert in Tel Aviv

On the occasion of the Berliner Philharmoniker's first visit in Israel in April 1990 EuroArts recorded the live concert in Tel Aviv. This visit was not only an artistical but also a very important political event - a further step in the reconciliation between the Jewish and the German peoples. Seven concerts were performed in Tel Aviv, Haifa and Jerusalem. EuroArts recorded the highlight of the Berliner Philharmoniker‘s joumey, the final concert in Tel Aviv performed together with the Israel Philharmonic Orchestra (altogether almost 300 musicians) conducted by Zubin Mehta.
