Funk Night

Nils Landgren Funk Unit Bootsy Collins

In 1997, Nils Landgren released his second 'Funk Unit' album which won the 'Jazz Award' and became one of the best selling Jazz records in Europe. This performance is a tribute to the great Cannonball Adderley, one of the godfathers of grooving Jazz. With Bootsy Collins, a first rate funk master is headlining this funk night and marks a new phase of his career that has always been exciting ever since he and his band filled in for musicians accompanying James Brown. This programme offers fresh soul sounds for the 90's and features Thomas D. and Smudo of Germany's 'Die Fantastischen Vier'.
