The story takes place in ancient China in the 18th century China. Young Baoyu is dreamy, charming and carefree. He descended from the powerful Jia family. He has always carried the Jade Stone, which protects him. Baoyu is in love with Daiyu, who loves him back. However, he loses the Jade stone, and his family forces him to marry Baochai to save him. A Dream of Red Mansions is one of the four great classical Chinese novels.
