Prague Spring Night with Mikko Franck, Krystof Maratka, Amaury Coeytaux, Orchestre Philharmonique de Radio France
One of the finest evenings of the Prague Spring festival, with Mikko Franck conducting the Orchestre Philharmonique de Radio France. He will conduct works by French classical composers, Ravel and Louise Farrenc. But it is Kryštof Mařatka who will conduct the orchestra, to play the world premiere composition that he himself wrote. The Czech composer, who lives in Paris and Prague, was inspired by the images that line the walls of prehistoric caves, dating back tens of thousands of years, to create this piece, which he composed for violin soloist Amaury Coeytaux, as part of a joint request from Printemps de Prague and Radio France.
