Blanca Li: Didon et Enée
The most charismatic of Iberian artists, renowned for her daring fusion of dance styles, Blanca Li plunges with all her visual and poetic power into the great ancient myth of Dido and Aeneas. From the story of Dido and Aeneas and the masterpiece it inspired in composer Henry Purcell, Blanca Li draws a fable that evokes the highest expressions of tragedy and passionate love. The musical interpretation by Les Arts Florissants, conducted by the famous William Christie, enhances this spectacular show, with images reflected tenfold in a mirror of water, transforming the stage at the Gare du Midi into a colourful reflection of our society.
