Dvořák's Cello Concerto is as monumental in form, as spectacularly inventive in melody, and as powerfully moving in expression as the greatest symphonies in the repertoire. One of today's most celebrated cellists, Gautier Capuçon, brings his impeccable tone and singing vibrato to this "king of cello concertos" at the 2025 Verbier Festival alongside the Verbier Festival Orchestra — led by Manfred Honeck, the great Austrian maestro trained in the Viennese tradition, who also leads a smashing smorgasbord of spirited dances by the Strauss family dynasty.
