Coming soon!
Barbara Hannigan opens the 2025 Verbier Festival at the helm of the Verbier Festival Orchestra with a programme shaped by rhythm, movement and theatrical flair. The evening ranges from the saltarello-infused brilliance of Berlioz’s Roman Carnival Overture to the poised classicism of Haydn’s Symphony No. 104, alongside 20th-century dance music by Copland and Rodgers. Known for her wide-ranging artistry as both conductor and performer, Hannigan brings a distinctive sense of momentum and clarity to repertoire that thrives on pulse and contrast. Awarded the Polar Music Prize in 2025, she continues to redefine the role of the modern musician through programmes that bridge styles, eras and traditions.
