All that Strauss

To mark the turn of the millenium, Mathias Rüegg's legendary Jazz Ensemble Vienna Art Orchestra gave an "alternative" New Years concert in Vienna's Sofiensale. "All that Strauss" presented the same famous Strauss pieces that had been performed by the Vienna Philharmonic at the official Vienna New Years concert, but in jazz renditions performed by Mathias Rüegg. In a relaxed atmosphere, the Vienna Art Orchestra appeared as a Big Band featuring numerous guest soloists from the international jazz scene.
