A Film and its Era: Lost in Translation (Sofia Coppola)

Once upon a time… Lost in Translation will place the movie in its historical context, when Japan’s cultural influence in the world was starting to weaken. Sofia Coppola, along with her key collaborators will retrace the making of the movie and explore with us its themes: the feeling of strangeness foreigners usually feel in Tokyo and of course the encounter of a man in his middle-life crisis with a young woman facing existential questions raised by adulthood.
