Les Siècles and Bertrand Chamayou in Prague

Bertrand Chamayou piano
Les Siècles
François-Xavier Roth

The orchestra performs in  Prague for the very first time. "Under the direction of its conductor and founder François-Xavier Roth, Les Siècles is one of the most remarkable and progressive ensembles today," says Josef Třeštík, director of programming for Prague Spring. The orchestra presents itself as performing music from the Baroque to the present day, always on the appropriate period instruments.

At the Prague Spring Festival, they are presenting a programme of French classics by Claude Debussy and César Franck, whose 200th anniversary of birth will be celebrated in 2022. This anniversary allows them to present unjustly neglected and familiar works in an extraordinary interpretation.
