Alphaville at Philharmonie Berlin
Alphaville, Germany's biggest synth-pop export and creators of the legendary 80s anthems "Big in Japan", "Sounds like a Melody" and "Forever Young" are looking back on 40 years of band history and export their greatest hits to the symphonic world. Together with the Deutsches Filmorchester Babelsberg they go on tour with their latest album "Eternally Yours".
The programme is about permanence and transience, and the all-new, titular song reads like a farewell letter. "I didn't write a line myself for the song, all the words and all the thoughts came from Shakespeare..." explains Marian Gold: "I just put them together intertextually and adjusted them minimally to make them more singable for me."
Be prepared for a symbiosis of Marian Gold's unique vocal abilities, the original Alphaville sound and the majestically powerful facet of the large cast Deutsches Filmorchester Babelsberg.
