Pene Pati in Recital
His career is not yet ten years old, but already the star Pene Pati shines high in the firmament of the Opera. On stage the Samoan-New Zealander has an extraordinary presence carried by irresistible joie de vivre. A contagious happiness that is systematically communicated to the audience through a gentle look and a sincere smile.
For the concert on 31 January 2023 in Prague, he is joined by his wife, the Egyptian soprano Amina Edris, to perform some of the most passionate love arias of the repertoire (Des Grieux and Manon, Romeo and Juliet, Rodolpho and Mimi). The programme is largely based on the recording: Guillaume Tell, L'Elisir d'Amor, Rigoletto, and they will be accompanied by the experienced Prague Philharmonia conducted by Polish star Lukasz Borowicz.
