There are only very few artists of his calibre - artists whom you might deservedly call a grand dame, or a grandseigneur of their instrument. Andras Schiff undoubtedly is one of those few. For his recital at the Verbier Festival, he chose two favourites from the piano repertoire: Haydn‘s Piano Sonata in E-flat major, and Beethoven‘s Piano Sonata No. 32 in C minor.
