Master Class Julia Varady

In 2003, following a career spanning nearly forty years, Julia Varady decided to stop performing in public. She now dedicates her time to teaching. While with most great singers, the moment when they switch from performing to teaching generally means that their voices deteriorate, Julia Varady's singing form has never been greater: she constantly sings during her lessons with the same intensity and generosity as she did as one of the leading sopranos. Such a miracle cannot last forever. That is why Bruno Monsaingeon plans to film her in her capacity as a teacher.
