Münchner Philharmoniker, Sergiu Celibidache: Debussy: Iberia

The concert of the Münchner Philharmoniker under Sergiu Celibidache was recorded as part of the MusikTriennale 1994. In this concert from the Philharmonie in Cologne, one can clearly experience how deeply the conductor allows his musicians to immerse themselves in the worlds of Claude Debussy and Maurice Ravel. These works have rarely been performed in a comparably accomplished manner by other orchestras. Under Sergiu Celibidache, even these well-known compositions sound new and exciting again.
