Sir Simon Rattle

For more than 20 years EuroArts has produced the annual summer concert of the Berliner Philharmoniker at one of the most appealing European outdoor amphitheatres - the Waldbühne in Berlin. Under the baton of its artistic director Sir Simon Rattle, together with the Rundfunkchor Berlin and renowned soloists Camilla Tilling, Nathalie Stutzmann, Joseph Kaiser and Dimitry Ivashchenko they will perform one of Beethoven’s best-known compositions: Symphony No. 9. The Mendelssohn’s Violin Concerto in E minor, with soloist Christian Tetzlaff, will captivate the audience with far-reaching, extensive and cantabile melodies and a formal structure that breaks with the conventions of the classical concerto.
