Music Voyager: Road to a Grammy: Rocky Mountain Adventures

This episode brings Music Voyager host Jacob Edgar to Denver, Colorado on his three-episode journey to learn more about this year’s Grammy nominees, Road to a GRAMMY©.  Jacob meets with banjo virtuoso and multiple GRAMMY© nominee Bela Fleck, then visits the workshop where the GRAMMY statuettes are lovingly hand-crafted. He follows Bela Fleck from a banjo master class to a concert at one of Denver’s top venues. On the tour bus, Fleck divulges the fascinating story of his banjo obsession and his acclaimed film and album Throw Down Your Heart, which documents Flecks musical adventures in Africa. Fleck treats viewers to a moving unplugged rendition of the title track. Then, Jacob Edgar explores the lifestyle of the Denver area, from the nearby ski resorts, to local record stores, Country & Western dance clubs and more. Jacob gets a mouthful of Rocky Mountain Oysters and has his hide tanned by a mechanical bull on this entertaining journey to the Mile High City.
