Monte-Carlo Philharmonic Orchestra
Kazuki Yamada

The Monte-Carlo Philharmonic Orchestra has been keen to pay tribute to Prince Albert I – whose year 2022 marks the centenary of his disappearance – through a series of concerts entitled “Commémoration Albert Ier”. In order to celebrate the event as it should, the Monegasque ensemble has invited the brilliant Truls Mørk to a programme dedicated to Gounod, Saint-Saëns and Franck, composers dear to the late prince.

Repertoire

Camille Saint-Saëns: Cello Concerto No. 1 in A minor, Op. 33; Charles Gounod: Symphony No.1 in D; César Franck: Symphony in D minor
