The dramatic side of Carl Nielsen explodes in his 4th Symphony, ‘The Inextinguishable’, where a duel between two tympanists underlines the struggle between light and dark. In the Clarinet Concerto, it is Carl Nielsen’s inner fiddler that takes us on a musical voyage of discovery towards new destinations. The soloist is the Principal Clarinet of the Danish National Symphony Orchestra, Johnny Teyssier.
